The following NON-CONSENT FORM is a tool for parents who are concerned about the existence, or installation, of Wi-Fi networks or other wireless technologies in their children’s schools. The placement of this technology in classrooms without informed parental consent is more than concerning. It is a violation of parental rights and the likely cause of learning, behavioral and health-related problems such as ADD/ADHD in children. Such problems likely stem from, and will eventually be traceable, in part, to Wi-Fi in schools. The world is toxic enough without toxic learning environments for children. I feel that I should let you know that Dr. Johansson is internationally known for his research in bioelectromagnetics, and that his research program on electrohypersensitivity is unique and highly regarded by his peers. Dr. Johansson was one of the invited contributors to the 2007 online Bioinitiative Report, as well as to the 2009 update in the journal Pathophysiology that I edited. I feel I should also let you know that support for bioelectromagnetics research has suffered recently, because there are many who prefer not to learn about biological and health effects of electromagnetic radiation. As a result, there are very few labs doing research in this area, and Dr. Johansson's is one of the few. I realize that changes in space allocation are occasionally necessary in active research institutions, but they should be avoided when there appear to be other alternatives regarding space utilization. Dr. Johansson's unique research program on electrohypersensitivity would be dealt a serious blow if the move were to take place. It should be obvious that because of the political issue, the move would also be a blow to the reputation of the Karolinska Institute since it will be seen as eliminating a research program with important health implications. I urge you to reevaluate your decision, and change the current plans to enable Dr. Johansson's vital research program to continue. As a biophysicist myself specialized in the Biological Effects of Non-Ionizing Electromagnetic Radiations, I am very familiar with the pioneer works of Dr. Johansson in this field. In fact a lot of people within the international scientific community and me personally, know his work and consider him as one of the leading international experts in this field. Moreover, Dr. Johansson is one of the most active scientists involved to the moral aspect of this scientific field which is directly related to human health and the protection of our natural environment. The world needs scientists like Dr. Johansson not only for his groundbreaking research on the effects of man-made electromagnetic fields/radiations on human health (cancer induction, electrohypersensitivity etc.) but also for his courage to fearlessly speak the scientific truth, a matter of vital importance for the public health and the moral values which are in great danger in our modern society. Imagine a world where pollution of all kinds is destroying our planet and spreads terrible diseases, where some people get huge amounts of money out of this destruction and no one dares to speak the scientific truth. This would be the living Hell. I regret to say that I feel we are not far away from such a situation since, in regards to one of the most toxic agents as is modern electromagnetic pollution, few scientists are able to properly indicate the dangers and even less to have the courage to announce them publicly, not fearing the adverse consequences in their career. But this is supposed to be the aim of Science, to find out the truth that would save us and announce it fearlessly. This is what all we scientists have sworn to do. Remember? Dr. Johansson and me, along with two other international experts, were recently invited to testify in a very significant Meeting of the Standing Committee on Health of the Canadian House of Commons (HESA), entitled “Impact of Microwaves on Human Health”. Being myself aware from my own experiments of the extreme genotoxicity of microwaves emitted by commercially available devices, I was proud to hear Dr. Johansson speaking clearly and fearlessly about the danger of human exposure to these radiations, the need for urgent verification of experimental results and the establishment of much more stringent exposure limits in order to protect public health and especially children. This is how scientists should be when they are asked to speak about a danger. Not to hide their words in order to get funded. All four international experts invited to testify in this important meeting, Dr Johansson, Dr. Annie Sasco of Bordeaux University in France, Dr. Andrew Goldsworthy of Imperial College London and me, totally agreed in our testimonies about the dangers of the continuously increasing human exposure to microwave radiations. It was with great disappointment to hear that Dr. Johansson is asked to leave his office and lab in Karolinska institute, one of the world’s pioneer institutions in protecting public health. It seems to be a sad coincidence that I was also asked to leave my office in the University of Athens two months ago. The third coincidence happened just few days ago when the third colleague who was invited to testify in the same meeting, Dr. Annie Sasco, was also asked to leave her office. I am afraid that if the fourth international expert Dr. Andrew Goldsworthy wasn’t recently retired, there would be a fourth coincidence. I strongly protest and ask that Dr. Olle Johansson must not be removed from his office. In contrary, you should provide him all necessary means to carry on his vital work. Scientists like him are one in a million and you should be proud for having him in your institution. | Texting like heroin for some teens | |

Your teenaged children may not just love their cell phones - They may actually need them. New research shows that many teens are becoming addicted to texting. Doctors say getting a text can flood the brain's pleasure center with mood enhancers. They say texting addictions are similar to alcohol and drug addictions. “Neuro-imaging studies have shown that those kids who are texting have that area of the brain light up the same as an addict using heroin,” says Dr. Michael Seyffert. Believe it or not there are rehab centers for addictions related to computer and cell phone use. Doctors say the best way to prevent your teen from developing a texting addiction is to set rules about cell phone use. | Hartburn residents protest over phone mast | |

HUNDREDS of Teessiders are objecting to plans for a new phone mast in Stockton which they say would be a health risk as well as an eyesore. Plans are in place to put up a bigger and more powerful phone mast in Greens Lane, opposite the entrance to Greens Grove in Hartburn, to replace the existing one which residents already say is a problem. The mast would be situated close to two schools - Hartburn Primary School and Ian Ramsey Church of England School as well as the Elmwood Community Centre. A total of 418 letters of objection have been sent to Stockton Council. Usually the application would be determined by council officers. However the proposal will now be discussed at a council planning committee next week owing to the high level of objections. The mast is used by O2 but now Vodafone is wanting usage, meaning in a larger mast with a wider diameter is needed. Residents say the proposed 15-metre high slim-line column will have an impact on their health and safety, will be an eyesore and will cause an obstruction to pedestrians. They have set up their own group - Precautionary Approach to Microwave Technology to fight against the plans. Jayne Papworth, who lives near the site, said: “There is another mast just 200 metres away from where they want the new one, so we don’t understand why they have to erect another one. My main concern is for children. I have two young children who go to the school just near the mast. “We know this mast will be more powerful and there is evidence to say there are health risks from the microwaves transmitted.” Mrs Papworth, who has lived on Greens Lane for 14 years, said she would consider moving if the application is passed. She said: “We would definitely think about it. We have already had to make changes to our house due to the current mast. We have put special glazing in the windows and have used specialised carbon paint.” Councillors have also objected to the plans. Cllr Aidan Cockerill said: “When the previous mast was installed there was a great deal of objection from worried residents, parents and pupils of Hartburn School. I hope we are not going down that route again.” Vodafone said the increase in diameter at the three different points of the proposed column is “essential in order to fit the additional antennas into the structure and remain hidden from view”. The plans will be discussed by the planning committee at Lecture Hall in Stockton Central Library on Wednesday at 1.30pm. |

Since residents and their pets - 2 got cancer - in my village suffered many symptoms immediately on activation of a phone mast near their homes, I have been studying the reason for the symptoms!. Finally, after getting help from Barrie Trower an expert on microwaves and Andrew Goldsworthy- expert on human biology, I know what is causing damage to human health and our whole environment! It is the Pulse-modulated non-heating aspect of microwaves emitted from masts and phones which make us ill - causing damage to individual cells wherever they enter our bodies! Individual Cells form impermeable skins when they sense emissions and cannot communicate with other cells - still living, they continue to develop into benign tumours or carcimonas. The microwaves pierce the skins and take calcium from the cell - in the brain -this is what causes Alzheimers in the old and Autism in the developing foetus in the womb! In the heart and circulatory system the results are heart attacks; arrhythmia; nose-bleeds; raised blood pressure and strokes. The worst aspects of microwave emissions are Tetra; Wi-Fi and Wi-Max. Wi-Fi in schools should never have been allowed without preceding stringent tests as children are particularly vulnerable - and there is evidence of damage to Chromosomes and the Human genome. When have parents or teachers been given the informed opportunity to protect their helpless children against damage to their health? I consider Wi-Fi in schools to be an illegal experiment - See Barrie Trower's 'Open Letter to the Chair of the Police Federation' on Tetra being forced on policemen-quote:- 'I believe that this is breaking the law.** If your Officers are not informed of all aspects of this experiment; it contravenes the “Regulations and Ethical Guidelines” – Directives for Human Experimentation – Nuremberg Code (enclosed). This is to say that the risks of all radiation experiments must be understood before it is started and it cannot be against their will. At your Airwave Conference 23rd October 2002, your Dr Levey told your Officers: “Use it or resign”. When I told the HPA of my discovery that epidemiological testa in Switzerland had proved that emissions inhibit melatonin - without which we cannot sleep, and insomnia being the main symptom in Kensworth - they refused to investigate on the grounds there is NO PROOF. The SYMPTOMS are the proof! See:Dr Neil Cherry;' EMR reduces melatonin in animals and people'. I hear rumours that the HPA is being abolished! A cancer cluster which occurred among young workers in an antenna ranges facility is reported. Five out of about 30 workers were diagnosed with cancer. The calculated Odds Ratio (OR) was 8.3 with Confidence Interval (CI 95%) of 2.3 to 19. Since this is a single cluster no definite conclusions can be drawn from it by itself, however together with other similar cases reported elsewhere it tends to indicate a severe cancer risk for groups of young people exposed repetitively and over years to non-ionizing radio-frequency radiation at levels limited only by the ICNIRP thermal limits. Hi All - The Ontario Municipal elections take place on October 25, 2010 Today I filed papers and now I am a candidate for Mayor of Stratford, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for me to provide public education on the most important single issue, the dangers caused by exposure to electro magnetic radiation. If elected, I could continue to advise a much greater audience. If you live in Ontario, I encourage you to take part in the Municipal elections to raise awareness of EMF issues, to make your community safer. While the position of Mayor may be daunting to some, an opportunity for those who need experience is the position of councillor. Common sense and a concern for the community are some of the best attributes. Those who are able to get elected to school boards can strongly influence the issue of Wi Fi and electro magnetic issues which are harming children in schools. In my election race, I face an uphill battle because the two main newspapers (Beacon Herald and Gazzette) in Stratford, have already failed to report my concerns about smart meters and city wide Wi Fi. In fact after providing strong scientific evidence showing the dangers of Wi Fi and microwave radiation, the Beacon Herald printed a false story about how safe the smart meters are. This is a serious mistake on their part and I hope they come to their senses and realise the danger they are placing their readers in. The third newspaper in town, the Statford Citizen published a fair and accurate story describing my address to council on June 28, 2010, as reported by Adam Gardiner. Only time will tell if the two newspapers will report accurately report the details of my campaign and advise the citizens of Stratford about the serious harm they face from dangerous microwave radiation. At this stage I request your help to get my message to other people though various social media outlets. Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated. By this means, can I be assured that my campaign will be heard and not hidden. The most important single issue in the Stratford Municipal elections is the health and safety of the people of Stratford. The people of Stratford are facing the greatest danger in their history because of exposure to electro magnetic radiation and in particular microwave radiation from wireless devices. Stratford residents are not being warned of that danger. Even more worrying, public officials working for the City at Festival Hydro and Rhyzome networks are greatly increasing that danger with implementation of a city wide Wi Fi system and the installation of dangerous smart meters, both of which emit very strong amounts of microwave radiation. These officials and the present Mayor, have been provided with important scientific information about the dangers, but have done nothing to stop implementation of these dangerous systems, or finding a safe solution. Thousands of scientific reports over the last sixty-five years have documented serious health effects from exposure to electro magnetic radiation. There is far more information documenting this danger, than there is for cigarette smoking, yet most of our citizens, including the very young and the elderly, are being exposed to microwave radiation that may be the equivalent to smoking a large number of cigarettes each day. The effects of microwave radiation are usually gradual, in the short term people may suffer from: headaches, sleep disruption, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, muscle and joint pain and dizziness. In the long term adverse health effects include various cancers, depression and anxiety, heart and cardiovascular problems, neurological effects, genotoxic activity and reproductive harm Martin Weatherall will ensure that Stratford citizens are educated about the dangers of electro magnetic radiation and will work to make Stratford the safest City in Canada, from this invisible but deadly new pollution.
