1 I guess telecom mast is about 50 meters high. Ours is two story house and we are living in the first floor .As ground floor is left as a hall due to Tsunami fear. Just 100 meters from the beach.

2 both adults and children are living.

Thanks for the comment. and hope more advice considering the above details

mobitel,

Since you've seen multiple doctors and they haven't found obvious medical causes for your common symptoms, I'd say its reasonable that you now start looking at the telecom mast as the possible cause of your symptoms.

Most doctors simply don't know about the health effects of microwave radiation, which is what is transmitted from the telecom masts. Even though the exposure levels from masts are far lower than what is required for tissue heating (like in a microwave oven) there are a large number of scientific studies linking this type of exposure to health problems in humans, animals and even insects. Long-term exposure seems to be the worst but the official limits for exposure only account for very short term exposures (6 minutes). The limits only protect you from cooking (litterally) in six minutes.

Protecting your sleep is most important since the body needs calm in order to properly repair damage. It is well documented that too much electromagnetic field exposure at night can disrupt the bodies production of the night-time hormone Melatonin which acts to fight cancer in the body during sleep. In many studies it is shown that living things exposed to microwaves, suffer from oxidative-stress that can lead to DNA-damage and tissue degradation (rapid-aging syndrome). Fortunately, studies also show that oxidative-stress from microwave exposure can be counter-acted by taking anti-oxidant supplements. Personally, I've found it helps me to take large doses of anti-oxidants, like vitamin-C together with normal dose of other essential vitamins including selenium. Please note that this is personal advice and not medical advice, since I'm not a doctor. Check with your doctor if in doubt.

Certain countries do have higher awareness of this emerging public health problem and in 2012 the Austrian Doctors Association published a guide to doctors on how to diagnose people with sensitivity to electromagnetic fields (incl. microwaves). You can download a copy from Dr. Magda Havas' website, here:
http://www.magdahavas.com/austrian-medical-association-guidelines-to-diagnosing-and-t reating-patients-with-electrohypersensitivity/
(link to Austrian guide is in the top paragraph).

You should consider shielding your home from the telecom mast radiation to reduce your exposure. The first place you should protect is your bedrooms, especially the childrens! since proper sleep is essential for health.
For a quick shielding solution you can use fine-meshed metal netting (like metal insect net) and use that to cover the walls and ceiling facing the mast. Make sure the edges of the netting overlap at least 5cm to make sure it all becomes one large, connected surface. Some people protect their beds by building a wooden frame around the bed and cover it completely (also under bed) with the metal-mesh. This is called a "Faraday cage" and blocks outside radiation. Click here for a picture of a bed Faraday-cage.

There are also special shielding fabrics available where fine silver threads are woven into the fabric. These can be used as a "tent" covering a bed or as curtains. Such fabrics are quite more expensive than simple metal-mesh but can have many more applications, like clothes.
Finally, there's a special shielding paint available, both for indoor and outdoor, that shields 99.97% of incoming radiation. Its black so you'll have to cover it with regular paint afterwards. I've used it myself and I can recommend it. The company YShield sells the paint and fabrics worldwide. Have a look at their website: http://www.yshield.com/ww/

I have friend, a fellow EHS sufferer.
who lived for a while in a metal caravan , but the caravan was very mouldy.
I am a retired industrial chemist. I was horrified when he told me that he was going to use an ozoniser to treat it. He had no idea of the toxicity of ozone,

As a chemist who worked in the research laboratories of a large well known industrial chemical manufacturer producer,I am used to handling a wide range of very toxic gases in the laboratory . What he intended to do in his caravan living area scared me.

I suggest that anyone thinking of buying an ozoniser to treat mould in their caravan first read this informative document published by the environmental prptection agecny in the USA .

I've used an ozone generator before. It emitted a uniquely strange, almost metallic smell. Years later, I noticed this exact same smell when sneezing (allergies). I believe a lot of the equipment we use today emits a lot of noxious gasses from the metals and plastics when they are exposed to high levels of microwave radiation and EMRs. Kind of like what happens to plastics when you put them in a microwave--the molecules get infused into the food and you can taste and smell it. I suspect that the metals from the oven itself also makes it into your food. No doubt that is why most processed foods have high amounts of aluminum and other toxic metals. I can constantly smell the plastic and metal "cooking" smell of laser printers, modems, computers, cell phones, etc.--this is likely why so many people have high levels of metals in their blood. When using your printer causes the lights to blink--just like a microwave oven--you know you're getting irradiated.

Sizzle anyone with ES should not use a microwave oven. They are the worst thing for emitting microwaves. Get a emr detector and you will see.
You are probably also chemically challenged. Generally people with ES can be. It is almost like a syndrome: chemicals, dusts, moulds, and emr. As if your problems are not enough you have allergies as well. Or rather the other way round. You have allergies and all these things affect you.

M. and sizzle
I think you have a point there. Too many chemicals are not good.
I am still puzzling over why some of us are so badly affected by emr and may be some poison in our blood is making us worse. The blood brain /barrier is interesting as emrs remove this protection and if there are toxins in the blood they get to the brain. But then if this is so it should affect more people as there are plenty of toxins in our food and air.
I don't know, but I am very upset that I am so affected. Just thinking aloud!

Henry I think the title of this section is somehow confusing - needs to change?

Ann, you're right. I haven't used a microwave in years (though I do eat out occasionally and even restaurants use microwaves). I wasn't raised with microwaves, but I've used them for a while--didn't care for the taste and smell of the food after it was "nuked." Regardless, I continued using it for a couple years because it was so much faster and "convenient." When I finally stopped, I actually felt better as my developing acid issues went away. Microwaves not only denatures food, they accelerate the decaying process. That's the most important thing we have to ask ourselves: Is "convenience" worth sacrificing your health?

ann,

Its not the title thats wrong, its "M" and "sizzle" who are going off-topic about ozone and ovens when the title clearly is about living near cell towers.

Guys, please stay on topic within the existing discussion threads. Try not to disrupt ongoing discussions. Rather, create a fresh topic if your post doesn't fit in any the current discussion threads. Thank you.

Henrik,
It does seem that topics evolve in these blogs and are nothing like the original title. However 'I want to live near a cell tower' is everything that this website is against. Sarcastic perhaps?

Sizzle I was talking about the microwaves that are emitted from the oven are much more than any mobile phone for some distance. That is what ruined my health and when I had a mobile phone I realised that the symptoms were similar after using it and the 'penny dropped' as they say! (that microwaves were making me ill)
No I don't use convenience foods apart from the occasional pizza . I cook fresh food in the oven or gas hob and eat lots of raw vegetables and fruit

Henrik--I wasn't trying to go off topic. On the contrary, I was just responding to the topic that "M" brought up. I didn't read the previous responses, so I assumed he was responding to something related what others contributed.

"I think the title of this section is somehow confusing - needs to change?"

I believe that what Ann meant meant by her "confusion" was not the mention of ozone and microwaves later in the discussion, but that the title of the thread is, "I want to live near a cell tower." I'm assuming they forgot the word, "don't." She was probably asking you if the title can be edited.

"Sizzle I was talking about the microwaves that are emitted from the oven are much more than any mobile phone for some distance."

Wow, I did not know this. I'm glad I'm no longer using one, but I do use a printer that I suspect is emitting a lot of radiation when in use. Ironic how these microwave technologies that claim to be "saving" energy are actually using consuming so much energy that using them leaves you just short of a power outage--flickering lights and appliances and electronics blinking off.

(Note: Just responding to what Ann said. Hope that's ok. Please forgive the disruption.)

sizzle,

The title should be read as: "I want to live in an area that happens to be close to a cell-tower". and what the options might be.
