Hello,
I hope you are all getting better with your sensitivity. During the last year, I have managed to find places where I can sleep without problems, houses with really thick walls and such. If this is not possible, I try and carry my yshield canopy around, although not very convenient when travelling.
I would like to ask your opinion on something. I am about to have an MRI on the base of my spine tommorow. That will be my first MRI after more than 2 years. I have to point out that my previous MRIs on the head resulted in me being more sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. After the second head scan I could not sleep, started taking melatonin and so on.
Will I be taking chances going through with an MRI scan on my back, or will it be ok since my head won't be right inside the magnetic field of the scanner? What do you guys think?
Many thanks,
Mike

Ack, too late to make a difference, but...from my own experience, MRI exposure severely aggravates ES/EHS, and I reckon triggered my full-blown sensitivity to it in conjuction with the mast that went up outside our home around the same time.
I just hope it didn't, and doesn't cause too many extra problems now you've had the scan on the spine.
EG.

Mike. In my opinion Yes, you are taking a chance. Last time I had a MRI I was really sick for days, (3-4 years ago) and even a scan for a DVT on my lower leg (not near the head) a year later had the same effect.
I am now in a situation where I have to decline All Scans and X-Rays, last month I was sumoned to go to a scan for Bone density, and another for Breast Cancer, but had to decline both. And am now in a state where I cannot come near to people with mobile phones, houses with Dect or Wi-Fi, masts etc, so practically a Hermit.
I asked if there was any way where either of these could be done without scans, but was told, No, so now I am on my own.
My advice to you is to ask your surgeon if he possibly can do it Any Other Way. Good luck Agnes. www.mast-victims.org
P.S. Info: The thickness of the walls of a house makes No Difference what so ever, the Microwave Radiation from a mast and other wireless devices cuts through All Walls As Through Butter. There is No Escape!

Bloody hell! Declined a CT scan on my head a bit back. If they'd sent me for MRI I would have gone through with it. Assumed it to be safer.

I have very acute sensitivity to AN/FM radio and I am aware the a MRI uses a 25KW transmitter receiver at these wavelengths to image. Am I taking a HUGE risk does any one know? I had a CT scan with no problems. I have asked many different MRI hospitals and none seem to be aware that EHS exists???? Please does any one know if I am making a big mistake having one???
