Does anyone have experience using Yshield paint that is overdue?
Is it enough to shake the Yshield paint can at a paint store using a colour mixing machine (shaker) ?
Will the paint be just as effective or less compared to a new Yshield paint can?

What specific kind of Yshield paint are you referring to?
The have a different chemical composition, meaning that their climatic stability is quite different.

If the paint haven't been subjected to frost, and it can be mixed to a paint-like substance it should be OK.
