Hey, I am beginning an application to Social Security since I have been out of work a long time and not sure when I will be able to find something that can accomodate me. I would like to know if anyone has successful experience applying for Social Security benefits as an electrosensitive. I am setting up a temporary email account to receive emails for private discussion, if anyone would like to reach me there: nycsensitive29@guerrillamail.info

Or, post a reply here.

My situation so far:

I haven't been to any doctor yet to talk about my electrohypersensitivity, which I began to suffer from in December 2016 (7 months ago). I am considering preparing some credible documents to take my GP, who I hardly ever see, to attempt to explain my condition to him if need be. I fret over whether I will need medical testimony in order to have my case considered, but I imagine that I do, which is why I am considering opening this topic with my GP, however I predict my GP has no idea what this is and might end up recommending treatments that will either do nothing or make me worse. I know that sounds paranoid, but can you blame me for losing faith in the medical profession when they continue to ignore the issue of non-ionizing radiation?

I saved and exited my SS application at the part where it asks me for the names and phone numbers of doctors or clinics which have treated me, because I haven't been treated. I've been treated for depression for years, but depression is not the main cause of me being unable to work, the electrohypersensitivity is.

Again my temporary email address for private replies is: nycsensitive29@guerrillamail.info

You can make a temporary email address also at https://www.guerrillamail.com

nycsensitive29,

Re documents to bring to your doctor, you might consider the EMF guide for medical doctors from the European Academy for Environmental Medicine. You can download it free here:
https://www.degruyter.com/view/j/reveh.2016.31.issue-3/reveh-2016-0011/reveh-2016-001 1.xml

(click the top-right button: "download full text pdf" to get a printable version)

There is also the American Academy of Environmental Medicine Recommendations Regarding Electromagnetic and Radiofrequency Exposure:

dee,

Yes I know about mastaction.co.uk. Do you mean they came up on web search instead of mast-victims?
