Hi
Im completely new to this!! I received a planning application regarding the British Telecom service centre at the bottom of my street. They want to erect 6 x 19 metre antennas for Vodafone and O2. My main concerns are health and property value. I see that most people here are encountering the more serious problems of 'masts'. Can anyone help me out regarding health implications from antennas?? How do they differ from mast?? Any help will be much appreciated.
Thaks

The antennas do the transmission of the radiation emitted. The masts are the physical structure they are attached to. However the local council have worded the information about the application by Vodaphone and O2 you want to be objecting. You will see them referring to 'phone masts' or 'mobile phone base stations' or 'antenna'. many people have been badly affected by the emissions from mobile phone base stations [phone masts - call them what you will]. I have been badly affected by nearby phone mast radiation, get terrible pains in head, cannot sleep, erratic blood pressure, itching prickling skin, amongst others and i have now become electrosensitive. You will find plenty of excellent information on this mast-victims website. http://www.mast-victims.org/index.php?content=links
Look at these website: www.radiationresearch.org www.mastsanity.org www.powerwatch.org.uk www.es-uk.info electrosensitivity uk www.mastaction.co.uk/Practical-Steps/ www.planningsanity.org www.tetrawatch.net www.starweave.com
Look up this on the powerwatch.org.uk website http://www.powerwatch.org.uk/rf/masts.asp Plenty of information there including this one: 'German Doctors unite on RF health effects from masts (Bamberg, July 2005)' http://www.powerwatch.org.uk/news/20050722_bamberg.asp and read the Open letter to Edmund Stoiber, Prime Minister of Bavaria in Germany
www.emfields.org/news.asp
Also do web searches for these articles by karl Trischberger [1] Mobile Telephony Lunacy +Victims report [1] Mobile Telephony Madness + Studies confirms Electrosensitivity
Do not accept the assurances that the emission levels are safe because the HPA/ WHO/ICNIRP say so. Look up the Bioinitiative Report.
Henrik/Agnes will no doubt have something to say on this. Here are just a few suggestions any way to get you started. Regards,

RE: Vodaphone and Orange 'Radio' Masts
A local council has recently reported in the newspaper a planning application for a Vodaphone and Orange 'radio mast' with 6 antennas.
I assume that the planners or mobile operators chose the word word 'radio mast' to try to make the planned phone mast seem harmless.
Mobile phone masts, mobile phone base stations, antennas, radio masts. However they are called by the planning department/council/ mobile operators, the phone masts and the radiation emitted from them are causing health problems and loss of quality of life for lots of people. They are causing people to flee from their homes if they can financially afford to do so.
I have spent a lot of money trying to shield my home against the ever increasing radiation from Orange and T-Mobile and reducing the 1.5 Volts per metre on my pillow.
Believe me, you do not want this in your home.
Regards, Margaret
