I wrote a letter to the australian minister in charge of this: This behavior is dictaorial and also will harm frequent flyers and pregant women and small children etc.
antiterrorism madness? or is the australian labor govt serving US corporate interests? 'To further protect people's privacy, the images will not be able to be copied, nor will they be stored.
"It will simply identify the spot on the body where there is something that needs to be checked," Mr Albanese told Sky News on Sunday.
The technology was trialled by 23,000 volunteers in Sydney and Melbourne.
"They were queueing up. People wanted to try out this new technology," Mr Albanese said.
The new technology will be rolled out across airports from July.
The government announced plans to beef up anti-terrorism measures at airports in 2010, after the attempted 2009 Christmas Day attack on a US-bound flight by Nigerian underpants bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. http://au.news.yahoo.com/latest/a/-/article/12813431/body-scanning-legislation-going- ahead/
besides the Big lie that passengers want to be irradiated...the underpants bomber story is not as the dodgy govt would have it. Lets ask a man who unlike labor minister and US patsy Albanese ,was there: http://haskellfamily.blogspot.com.au/2011/09/colossal-deceit-known-as-underwear.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGeOQZ9k2GE
the idea that people are queueing up for this technology is absurd...the govt is not even telling the truth as to its safety.

I wonder if this technology will destroy the microchip implants that many people have and don't know they have? The Australian public are gullible and possibly have been mind controlled!

Oh well, when I visit the airport, I set all the alarms off, and now that I have wire in my chest cavity, I might be thrown to the floor and strip searched...

Does repeating the same thing(s) in different threads make someone a troll? We get some angry/helpless/ignorant/frightened people posting here, understandably so, but I equate trolls with those who create fake scare stories or just shout abuse at ES sufferers and ES-believers.

ericgeneric,
In my book a "troll" is someone who posts something outrageous/inflammatory/provocative or even fictitious in order to deliberately de-rail an ongoing discussion.
Please keep it friendly and use nice language :-)

brianct,
Ok, that last one made me laugh :-) However, I'm gonna have to be the net-nanny here and I'm a bit unclear on how you've come to judge Wifi222 as a "troll". Do you mind explaining?

If you were my Troll hunting dog, I'd have to shoot you ;-)
No seriously, this isn't the first time you call Troll on someone in this forum and then dodge the question of why. There is not much more I'm going to do about this other than appeal to everyone that they keep posts relevant to the topic and in a civil tone. Thank you.

C'mon, I believe that RFID chips could be implanted (like a piece of necessary dental work ), but mind control seems kind of ridiculous. How would that be implanted without your knowledge? If you had someone whispering in your ear, wouldn't you remember an ear operation? Is it like an implanted shock device? Wouldn't you remember a BRAIN operation?? There IS such a thing as microwave hearing, but you could tell that it is outside of you.
To me, this is the kind of mumbo-jumbo that hurts the credibility of people that seek real solutions to torturous technological madness.
