Hello,

I've managed to disable the wireless on my new BT Home Hub 5, yet it still seems to emit a small amount of EMF. Can anyone explain this?
Regards,

William

William1101,

How are you technically measuring this EMF? - or are you feeling it?

Hello Henrik,

I'm using the Acoustimeter. I can feel it but it's nothing compared to the 'full on' wi-fi.

William1101,

So its giving off RF EMF.
What levels are you reading from the Acoustimeter?

Hello Henrik,

thanks for your reply.
The emissions are between 0.02 v/m and 2.63 v/m

I think that it's something to do with the BT FON service, that you have to opt out of voluntarily. I have just called BT to do that and it takes 24-48 hours to take effect.
