A battle is raging over an application by Vodafone and O2 to install a phone mast close to a youth and community centre that will re-open in the spring. This is in the Twerton area of Bath in the UK.
The 13.8 metre mast would be about 150 metres away from the youth and community centre. The centre-line of one of its beams misses the perimeter of the youth and community centre by just a few metres.
A school for special needs children is to be held on the ground floor of the youth and community centre. Therefore does the Stewart Precautionary Principle apply as an objection here? And if so, how should this be expressed and referenced?
The mast's radio frequency assessment can be seen at this link: http://tinyurl.com/6dx3s3r

They don't take health or medical reasons into consideration, and the UK has yet to acknowledge the precautionary principle. Insane, but that's the way they've made it.
