Hi all,
does anyone know what kind of radiation is my Acoustimeter picking up on these videos?

https://youtu.be/lSSJCjxWuSc
https://youtu.be/ZyBsmjXbwec

I have watched other videos (like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s99i0H-nBw4) but I could find any similar sounds

Thanks

That sounds horrendous. Have heard many different types of sounds from my Acoustimeter, but not anything like that.

Maybe it's some kind of newer "smart" security device, I'm picking up sounds myself that haven't yet been identified online. I was checking websites recently for lists of audio clips and didn't hear that second one anywhere!

Indeed it sounds horrendous. it is usually detectable only at night (from late afternoon / early in the evening) if that makes any difference

What websites are you checking in order to identify new kinds of rf radiation?

Thanks

I'll look back and see what they were. Some very clear and informative sound clips too, not just blurry YouTube videos like so many are.

The only type(s) missing were security/burglar type alarm systems, and the Radar mentioned by another poster on a different thread recently (we are also sadly in the field of military radar, it prevented us being able to have the standard Freeview TV/tuner set-up when the Digital switchover happened a few years back, as you could hear the interference and the picture/sound would drop out every 60 seconds on a loop).

Well, just an update: the sound on the second video is now also coming during the morning from another direction in another room. Also,2 new sounds coming most probably from the apartment downstairs.

Here are the videos:

Is there any chance that these are linked to a smart meter or a satellite dish?

Thanks

Paul,
my accoustimeter makes similar sounds, and once I read in these blogs that different sounds mean different gadgets. Some are from wifi of neighbours' houses, others are from mobile phones, DEC phones, computer games, etc. All give different pulses and different frequencies. When they come together you cannot distinguish the different sounds.

If you search you might find where this info is. I will also try to find it.

OK I found it on this website. click on Forum, then on 'Technical' and find 'Listen to the wireless world' and click on the link. It will give you the different sounds of the different wireless gadgets etc.
Good luck

Hi Ande,
thanks for your reply

I found the topic you mentioned (https://www.mast-victims.org/forum/index.php?action=vthread&forum=4&topic=4994) but unfortunately I cannot find a sound similar to the one that my Acoustimeter is picking up in the second video. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Often there are many different sounds due to the many different wireless gadgets that you are picking up on the detector. This is what I find anyway and they are difficult to separate. I know ever since some new neighbours moved in to the house next door there is a fairly continuous sound on that side of the house which I think is wifi. Mobile phone sound is more intermitent - at least when it is not in use - it goes very loud and almost continuous when it is in use.
I hope this helps

I listened to your sound again and I think it is some very distant 'object' and really I would not worry about it too much because it is fairly low levels in Volts and Watts of RFs (I think?).
I would consider myself lucky to pick up such low levels in my house! ( And I have a detached house well away from other houses.)
