Helge Sander, Danish minister of science and technology, is openly backing a recommendation by the Danish national IT & Telecom agency to drop conventional landline telephones for mobile phones. The recommendation is presented in a telephony-pricing pamphlet published by the Danish national IT & Telecom agency.
"It might come as a surprise for alot of people [in Denmark] that they can save a lot of money by choosing mobile phones instead of conventional landlines" - said Helge Sander in a press release.
The recommendation has been criticized as being a hidden advertisement for Danish telecom Sonofon, because the pricing pamphlet's cost-saving example uses Sonofon's product "Free-zone" prices.
The recommendation, has of course, pleased Sonofon. |
