Abstract From PubMed
Much of the controversy over the causes of electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) lies in the absence of both recognized clinical criteria and objective biomarkers for widely accepted diagnosis. Since 2009, we have prospectively investigated, clinically and biologically, 1216 consecutive EHS and/or MCS-self reporting cases, in an attempt to answer both questions. We report here our preliminary data, based on 727 evaluable of 839 enrolled cases: 521 (71.6%) were diagnosed with EHS, 52 (7.2%) with MCS, and 154 (21.2%) with both EHS and MCS. Two out of three patients with EHS and/or MCS were female; mean age (years) was 47. As inflammation appears to be a key process resulting from electromagnetic field (EMF) and/or chemical effects on tissues, and histamine release is potentially a major mediator of inflammation, we systematically measured
histamine in the blood of patients. Near 40% had a increase in histaminemia (especially when both conditions were present), indicating a chronic inflammatory response can be detected in these patients. Oxidative stress is part of inflammation and is a key contributor to damage and response. Nitrotyrosin, a marker of both peroxynitrite (ONOO°-) production and opening of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), was increased in 28% the cases. Protein S100B, another marker of BBB opening was increased in 15%. Circulating autoantibodies against O-myelin were detected in 23%, indicating EHS and MCS may be associated with autoimmune response. Confirming animal experiments showing the increase of Hsp27 and/or Hsp70 chaperone proteins under the influence of EMF, we found increased Hsp27 and/or Hsp70 in 33% of the patients. As most patients reported chronic insomnia and fatigue, we determined the 24 h urine 6-hydroxymelatonin sulfate (6-OHMS)/creatinin ratio and found it was decreased (<0.8) in all investigated cases. Finally, considering the self-reported symptoms of EHS and MCS, we serially measured the brain blood flow (BBF) in the temporal lobes of each case with pulsed cerebral ultrasound computed tomosphygmography. Both disorders were associated with hypoperfusion in the capsulothalamic area, suggesting that the inflammatory process involve the limbic system and the thalamus. Our data strongly suggest that EHS and MCS can be objectively characterized and routinely diagnosed by commercially available simple tests. Both disorders appear to involve inflammation-related hyper-histaminemia, oxidative stress, autoimmune response, capsulothalamic hypoperfusion and BBB opening, and a deficit in melatonin metabolic availability; suggesting a risk of chronic neurodegenerative disease. Finally the common co-occurrence of EHS and MCS strongly suggests a common pathological mechanism.

France has advised a ban on the use of free and shared WiFi connections
France Created: 9 Dec 2015
France considers banning free WiFi and software allowing internet users to hide their identity during a state of emergency in wake of Paris attacks.

- France has advised a ban on the use of free and shared WiFi connections
- Police suggest it is more difficult to track suspects who use public WiFi
- Country is also looking to ban the anonymous and secretive Tor browser

As such, it is used by terrorists and cyber criminals to communicate and find information without being tracked. France wants to make sure fanatics cannot converse secretly over the internet.

Following the terror plot, it was revealed ISIS fanatics were using a 'cyber caliphate' - protected by their own encryption software - where they plan their next attacks.

It is unclear whether they were specifically using Tor.

Large numbers of ISIS fighters are young, highly educated Westerners who are fighting the holy war with sophisticated backgrounds and training with digital technology.

The state of emergency already enables the authorities to search houses without a warrant, impose tighter border controls and ban protests.

Meanwhile, fellow hacking group Anonymous has promised to hunt down militant jihadists online following the terrorist attacks in Paris which left 130 people dead in total.

Anonymous' declaration of war came in a video posted on the group's French YouTube page shortly after the Paris attacks, where they warned the terror group to 'expect us', vowing to hunt down those responsible online and expose them.

Wearing the group's signature Guy Fawkes mask, a spokesman says in French: 'Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down.

'You should know that we will find you and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you. Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared.'

Abstract

Much of the controversy over the causes of electro-hypersensitivity (EHS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) lies in the absence of both recognized clinical criteria and objective biomarkers for widely accepted diagnosis.

Since 2009, we have prospectively investigated, clinically and biologically, 1216 consecutive EHS and/or MCS-self reporting cases, in an attempt to answer both questions.

Petition to WHO: recognize electromagnetic and chemical hypersensitivities as real diseases
France Created: 19 Oct 2015
Following the fifth Paris Appeal congress, which took place on the 18th of May, 2015, the attending European, American and Canadian scientists unanimously decided to create a working group and to write a Common International Declaration to request an official recognition of these new diseases and of their sanitary consequences worldwide.

Sign the petition via the source link below...

The declaration calls upon national and international bodies and institutions and particularly the WHO, for taking urgently their
responsibility for recognizing electrohypersensitivity and multiple chemical sensitivity as real diseases, including them in the International Classification of Diseases.

This International Declaration also asks national and international institutions to adopt simple precautionary measures of prevention, to inform populations and requires the appointment of real independent expert groups to evaluate these sanitary risks in total scientific objectivity, which is not the case today.

Woman allergic to mobile phones wins disability grant
France Created: 27 Aug 2015
A French court has for the first time recognized the alleged physical suffering inflicted by mobile phones and wi-fi as a medical disorder.

Marine Richard, 39, a former radio producer from Marseilles, was awarded a disability allowance of £500 per month after she convinced judges in Toulouse that she had been forced to flee civilization because of the disagreeable sensations that she felt near electromagnetic radiation.

“This is a breakthrough,” said Ms Richard, whose case was backed by campaigners for the recognition of electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome (EHS), a condition rejected by medical experts as unsubstantiated.

This is truly a BIG DEAL. (In French)
France Created: 26 May 2015
The publishers of the Larousse Dictionary in France, which is THE authoritative dictionary of the French language, has included <électrosensibilité> "EHS" on the list of its 150 new words for its 2016 edition. This is truly a BIG DEAL.

BREAKING: France passes law to regulate wireless exposure
France Created: 30 Jan 2015
Today the French Parliament passed a law addressing electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic hypersensitivity. While the new law does not go nearly far enough, it is the first of its kind in the world. Among its provisions are the following:

1. Anyone who intends to build one or more radio installations regulated by the ANFR (France's equivalent of the FCC) must submit to the local government, if requested by the mayor, calculations of electromagnetic fields that will be generated. This information must be made available to the public.

2. A national dialogue committee on levels of public exposure to electromagnetic fields is created within the ANFR. This committee will give information to all stakeholders. The ANFR will give annual reports to the dialogue committee on the results of all electromagnetic field measurements in France as well as measures taken to reduce exposure levels at "atypical" locations where the levels are greater than usual. The ANFR will compile a annual census of atypical exposure locations and periodically report on measures taken to reduce exposure at such locations.

3. Within one year from today, the ANFR will produce a municipal-level map of all cell towers in France.

4. Any advertisement for cell phones must mention, clearly and legibly, the recommended use of an accessory device that reduces exposure of the head to radio frequency radiation. Violators are subject to a fine of 75,000 euros.

5. Advertisements promoting the use of cell phones without such accessories are prohibited. Violators are subject to a fine of 75,000 euros.

6. Anyone selling a cell phone must provide, upon request, an accessory designed for children under 14 years of age that reduces exposure of the head to radio frequency radiation.

7. Wireless internet is prohibited in places dedicated to the welcome, rest, and activities of children under 3 years of age.

8. Wireless access for internet in elementary schools must be disabled when not in use for teaching.

9. One year from today, the government shall submit to the Parliament a report on electromagnetic hypersensitivity.
