Guernsey: Concern over new phone mast plans | |
United Kingdom | Created: 11 Jul 2007 |
Islanders living in two Guernsey parishes are protesting about plans to build a number of mobile phone masts. The island's newest telecoms provider, Guernsey Airtel, has applied to put masts in a number of locations in Torteval and St Martin's. Stephanie Nickolls, who has started a petition, says people are concerned about the visual impact of a 15m mast on the skyline. Guernsey Airtel was awarded a licence last year. |
